The Big Data and Software Engineering Lab(BASE) is affiliated with School of Software, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. It locates in the Minhang campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, mainly in Rm1405. The Founding Director of BASE is Prof. Beijun Shen.

The main research interests of BASE include software repository mining, defect prediction, semantic web, software social network analysis, and some other related areas. Currently our research mainly involves: semi-supervised learning in defect prediction, developer and task recommendation in software crowdsourcing, identity linkage across software communities, user satisfaction evaluation of opensource projects, software programming knowledge base construction, expert detection of software communities, cross-platform developer programming ability modeling and evaluation, software repository search, recommendation in software communities, etc.
